Yvette Lewis - Gingerbread Man & Three Bears Operas for Preschool

This delightful collection introduces children, ages 3 to 7, to the concept of opera as a "singing story" using adaptations of classic fairy tales. The Gingerbread Man and Three Bears are transformed into an opera that will entertain children for hours. The catchy "run, run as fast as you can" refrain in the Gingerbread Man or the driving beat of "Bears Bears happy are we" in the Three Bears will have children and parents singing as soon as the music starts. These original operas are composed by Maryland opera singer and music educator Yvette Lewis and arranged by Grammy nominee Jimmy Hammer. Lewis is a lyric soprano who has performed with notable opera companies including Washington Opera, Baltimore Opera and the Spoleto Festival in Melbourne Australia.
