Yusef Lateef - The Doctor Is In and Out

Originally released in 1976 on Atlantic this album features the Eastern modal and melodic frameworks of his earlier Prestige records such as Eastern Sounds, Cry!/Tender, and Other Sounds. Yusef brought in a large ensemble of musicians including Kenny Barron, Ron Carter, Dom Um Romao, Al Foster, Billy Butler, Anthony Jackson, a five-piece brass section, and a synth player.
