Yoshiwara Gion Taiko Sessions - Taiko!

The favorite of the next generation of Minkuru!? The members of Yoshiwara Gion Taiko Sessions grew up listening to the music and Nagado Taiko sessions at the Yoshiwara Gion Festival, held every June in Yoshiwara, Fuji City, and formed the group to spread their unique local beats to the world. They also live in Yoshiwara and are active as band members and DJs. The album is produced by TOP DOCA, who also runs the label Kodama Records. The first album is complete, containing a total of 11 songs, including 'The Chicken,' a driving song with funk guitar and Gion Taiko, the Skatalites' masterpiece 'FUGITIVE,' Booker T's tropical funk 'Soul Limbo,' Haruomi Hosono's masterpiece 'Chocho-san,' and 'Dahir Sayo,' featuring Natsu Summer as the singer, as well as the original song 'Nowake,' in which tribal Gion Taiko and guest John Imaeda (Ajate)'s bamboo guitar blend into the dub.
