Manhattan photographer George McClaren (Jake Weber) thought a winter weekend trip to the Catskills would bring needed relaxation for himself, wife Kim (Patricia Clarkson), and young son Miles (Erik Per Sullivan). However, a set-to with a local hunter, combined with local lore about an ancient Native American spirit with unimaginable destructive powers, soon turn the getaway into a waking nightmare.
