Warren Scott - Warren Scott & the Memphis Playboys

Warren Scott's Memphis Playboys may appear familiar. Three of the four band members are from Rockabilly scene favorites Jack Rabbit Slim - so that guarantees that this will be a popular release. Although there are obvious similarities in the sound of the two bands, The Memphis Playboys have a more traditional 1950's Rockabilly and Western Bop sound. That said, they retain the powerful delivery of JRS, so if you like one band that you'll like the other. There are some great original songs here, along with covers of Eddie Cletro, Pat Cupp and Slim Rhodes. A sure-fire rockabilly scene hit.
