Remo Vinciguerra was born in 1956 and has been a major Italian composer of basic teaching materials for jazz and modern piano. His love of jazz and revisitations of pop music have led him to incorporate them into his teaching, to which he devotes most of his interest. Vinciguerra has written some 40 books, all published in Italy by Curci, Milan. International recognition arrived in 2002 when Peters (New York, London, Frankfurt and Leipzig) included some of his compositions in Crossing Borders, distributed worldwide. Specialist publication Suonare news (Michelangeli, Milan) dubbed him "the 20th century Beyer" that should be on every music stand. He runs seminars and workshops throughout Italy, encouraging a love for the study of music and stressing it's educational value. The duo comprising Irene Boschi and Daniela Scaletti is intended to bring young children closer to great classical music. The duo firmly believes in the importance of musical education from early childhood and have devised a number of musical events and promoted opportunities for children and youngsters to learn about and experience the repertoire for piano four-hands.
