Unsound

Disillusioned and adrift, gigging guitarist Noah quits the band of his '90s pop icon mentor and returns to his mother's home in Sydney, searching for connection and a sense of belonging. Old wounds resurface, leaving him restless and longing for something more. He finds it in Finn, a vibrant young trans man who communicates only in Auslan and runs a local center and nightclub for the Deaf community. Through music and sign, the two form an intimate bond, each sharing their world with the other. As Finn begins his own journey of self-discovery, caught between his father's overprotection and the financial struggles of the club, Noah steps in to help. But with no shared language to fall back on, their deepening connection is as fragile as it is profound. Together, they must navigate love, identity, and the courage to be truly seen.
