In the wake of an oddly ugly breakup, Berlin city historian/lecturer Undine Wibeau (Paula Beer) rebounded quickly after her meet-cute with industrial diver Christoph (Franz Rogowski). Though immediately taking him as her soulmate, the whirlwind affair faces a stunning end as he finds that her neediness and eccentricities have an unearthly explanation.
