Led by vocalist Jimi-Jai Williams, TRU also features vocal great Lavon Donnie Tatem and the charismatic Primo Wansley. The group teams with legendary Philly Soul producer Butch Ingram and his equally legendary family band consisting of brother Johnny on drums; Timmy on percussion; Jimmy on keyboards and sax; Billy on guitar; and Butch on bass to create "My Love Is True," one of the finest original soul albums to appear in decades. With "My Love Is Tru," Tru have not only carried on the tradition, they have also proven that the classic sound of Philly Soul is very much alive and well.
