As a princely chamber Kapellmeister of Prince Alois I von Liechtenstein was incumbent Joseph Triebensee (1772-1846), the line one of the best wind ensembles of Vienna. Unlike that time usual, Triebensee not spread it's Bläsermusiken in pressure, but largely as an exclusive copies on a subscription basis, which he edited from 1808 to 1813 and 1803/1804. The collections document the diverse repertoire of very nice Viennese Harmoniemusik who knew also edits popular operas, symphonies, chamber and piano music in addition to original compositions. Especially for his outstanding edits Triebensee was regarded by his contemporaries. From the treasure of Triebensee arrangements Amphion Wind Octet has the excellent couple of outstanding examples of works by Cherubini, Haydn and Mozart recorded, underlining it's absolute leading position among wind ensembles.
