Trial by Fire

In 1992, a Texas jury convicted Cameron Todd Willingham (Jack O'Connell) of having willfully set the holiday-season house fire that claimed the lives of his three young children. His protestations of innocence moved playwright Elizabeth Gilbert (Laura Dern) to helm an effort for his exoneration-and deal with a system turning a blind eye to exculpatory evidence in the face of his imminent execution.
