A formidable singer on the early R&B scene in South Central Los Angeles, Thurston Harris first appeared on record in 1953 as featured vocalist with the Lamplighters and recorded with them throughout the early 1950's. The group later evolved into the Tenderfoots, then the Sharps. In 1957, Thurston Harris scored a huge hit with "Little Bitty Pretty One," reaching #6 on the US Billboard Hot 100. "Little Bitty Pretty One" features the Sharps on backing vocals and a crack studio band led by Earl Palmer on drums. Featured here is the original 1957 single with the original B-side, "I Hope You Won't (Hold It Against Me)." Newly remastered.
