The Third Murder

Slick criminal defense lawyer Shigemori (Masaharu Fukuyama) had no question of the guilt of his new client Misumi (Kôji Yakusho), an ex-con who'd brutally bludgeoned his factory foreman and burnt the body. His motive-which would decide life in prison or execution-was far less clear... and Misumi's ever-shifting rationales ultimately lead his counsel to a stunning truth. Hirokazu Kore-eda's fascinating legal procedural co-stars Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Mikako Ichikawa. 124 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Japanese DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurettes. In Japanese with English subtitles.
