The Perros Callejeros Trilogy

Acknowledged as the films that ushered in Spain's quinqui (juvenile delinquent) cycle of the '70s and '80s, director José Antonio de la Loma's earthy tales of brazenly criminal Barcelona teens were performed by nonprofessional hood kids chosen off the streets, and made a celebrity of their lead, Ángel Fernández Franco, aka "El Torete." Included are "Perros Callejeros" (1977), "Perros Callejeros II" (1979), and "Los Últimos Golpes de El Torete" (1980). 5 1/4 hrs. On three discs. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Spanish; Subtitles: English; featurettes; theatrical trailers. In Spanish with English subtitles.
