Two gigantic pectoral-flexing epics! The main feature is "The Magnificent Gladiator*" a seldom seen Sword & Sandal gem starring Mark Forest as the muscle bound Prince of Dacio who is taken captive by the Romans and forced to become a gladiator. The daughter of the Roman emperor falls in love with the handsome gladiator to the dismay of the evil commander of the Praetorian guards who is plotting to overthrow her father. A climactic battle between gladiators and Roman soldiers insures that good triumphs over evil once again. Beautiful Marilu Tolo co-stars. The Magnificent Gladiator (1964) is presented here in an enhanced-widescreen 2.35 film transfer. The second feature is the rarely seen "Revolt of the Barbarians" (1964) where ancient Rome is plagued by barbarian invasion and piracy. The Eternal City*threatened on both land and sea*sends Darius (Roland Carey) a desperate consul*to seek aid from the Gauls. With resentment of the Empire running high*Darius must do some massive damage control in order to save the day.
