The Hunters - Teen Scene, The Storm & Beyond

THE HUNTERS were a twangy Instrumental combo, with strong links to Cliff Richard & The Shadows, formed in 1959 at the outset of the Golden Age of British Instro's. Although destined to remain hitless they were hugely popular, and their records are all major collector's items. They cut three singles, 'Teen Scene', 'Golden Earrings' and 'The Storm', and two LPs, Teen Scene, The Hunters Play The Big Hits and Hits From The Hunters, all for the Fontana label. This compilation sweeps up everything that they recorded between 1961 and 62, plus five sides they cut as a backing group, for Dave Sampson, Danny Rivers, Gerry Temple and Michael Cox, the latter trio being Joe Meek productions. This is the first time that their recordings have been thus anthologised, making this an absolute must-have for fans and collectors alike.
