French Indochina, 1953: Desperate for shelter, young refugee Linh (Kate Nhung) stumbled onto the rubber plantation owned by widowed Sebastien Laurent (Jean-Michel Richaud). Offered a domestic's position, she couldn't have foreseen that she'd fall in love with her employer, nor he with her.
