The Dead Pool

The final Dirty Harry entry blends hard-edged action with a satirical jab at media obsession as Clint Eastwood's Inspector Callahan tracks a killer tied to a morbid "dead pool" betting game among local celebrities. When a suspicious overdose leads to a twisted web of murder, Harry and his new partner (Evan Kim) uncover a deranged fan orchestrating chaos-including a memorable remote-control car chase through San Francisco streets. With Patricia Clarkson, Liam Neeson, and a young Jim Carrey as rock star Johnny Squares. 91 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English. Region Free
