Gary Cooper is at his very best. When bored Palm Beach rich girl Mary Smith (Oberon) convinces her housemaids to take her along on a triple blind date, she never expects to meet the cowpoke of her dreams (Cooper). And when she convinces him that she's a struggling house servant, the unlikely couple falls head-over-spurs and hastily marries aboard a ship in Galveston But rodeo life doesn't suit a lady, and when Mary returns home, her new husband finds a shock waiting for him and a host of in-the-dark in-laws ready for a lesson in homespun love.
