Teilz - Come to Mommy

Opaque Pink Vinyl. It's said that a work of art is a scream of freedom. For Allie Teilz, making music has been nothing short of an act of liberation. After years of shaping music culture as a DJ, producer, and LA nightlife icon, a cascade of trauma led Teilz to her own voice as a pop star. You can make something beautiful out of the worst thing that ever happened to you. I'd like to prove it, she says of her creative ethos. Her world is a place where contradictions and confrontations co-exist in songs built for pure pleasure. The '80s-inspired album melds together Studio 54 and feminist punk: the A-side moves through youth, crisis, ego death, and reckoning; the B-side steps into rebirth and joy, closing on resilience. She made this record on her own terms, owns every note of it, and built the world it lives in from the ground up.
