Swimming to Cambodia is a 1987 film directed by Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) in which actor Spalding Gray performs an amusing monologue that mostly recounts his trip to Southeast Asia to create the role of the U.S. Ambassador's aide in the 1984 Oscar-winning film the Killing Fields.
