OUTWIT, OUTPLAY, OUTLAST The first-time Survivor castaways, including NFL player Alan Ball, a marine, an Olympic swimmer, a social worker, a surf instructor, and a celebrity assistant, are divided into tribes based on the positive traits most often associated with them by others: courage, compassion and tenacity. Together - and against each other - they battle-it-out for a chance to win a $1 million grand prize and to be crowned Sole Survivor. Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers adds new twists that change the game: A one-round-only super idol tossed into the game during the opening marooning, a new system for hidden immunity idol clues using tree carvings and paintings, and a return to the classic revote system. The format of the penultimate Tribal Council, with four players remaining, was also changed; in lieu of a vote, the winner of the final immunity challenge was to assign additional immunity to another castaway, with the remaining two competing in a fire-making challenge to determine the third finalist.
