Strauss/ Theis/ Frey/ Glatte/ Ernst - Prinz Methusalem

Prinz Methusalem is now the 3rd discovery of an unknown operetta by Strauss on cpo. Strauss deliberately designed his Methusalem for the Paris stage. After a French version of Die Fledermaus was already in preparation, he set his hopes on his very first Paris premiere, but the contract was never signed, with the result that this operetta first saw the light of the stage world in Vienna.
