Souvenir - Drums, Sex and Dance

2009 release, the triumphant fifth album from the band made up by Patricia de la Fuente and Jaime Cristobal. Drums, Sex and Dance sees Souvenir evolving from the most '80's-oriented aspects of 64 to a palette of sounds which are more punchy and contemporary. The guitars are grittier, the analog synthesizer sounds rawer, and the beats Trancier and more upbeat. The result is an exciting cocktail of New Rave and '00's Electro with Punk Rock energy, Dance Music spirit and twangy guitars. This leads Souvenir into a thrilling new territory somewhere near the cheeky vocals of Yelle or CSS combined with guitar riffs and vintage synthesizer in the style of Hot Chip or Little Boots.
