Engineer, producer and occasional vocalist Ira McLaughlin, known by his stage name Smoothie, is the brainchild behind the classic funky hip-hop jam "I've Got The Beef," originally released in 1984 on the legendary Creative Funk label. The Philadelphia based hip-hop DJ Jazzy J provides some expert scratching on the B side dub mix. This vintage classic has been newly remastered for this exclusive release.
