Their fourth album continas all the Silver Jews traditions: vague country-rock, solid silver tunes, David Berman's moan-and-yowl and wya out lyrics, but it's also got a lot of real human tragedy in it, along with lethal doeses of pedal stell, electric guitar and some of the best piano playing around.
