Roscoe Mitchell is one of the great innovators in creative music. He founded the Art Ensemble of Chicago, and more recently co-led the Transatlantic Art Ensemble with fellow saxophonist Evan Parker. This album was recorded at the climax of a 2007 tour, and released to coincide with Mitchell's 70th birthday.
