By now, you all should have snatched the vinyl release of Rocket's 'Go To Hell' compilation (if not, what are you waiting for?), and for the already initiated, we're proud to bring you this brand-new (sort of...) 7' by our favorite Detroit garage stalwarts! After digging around the Rocket archives for masters during the organization of the full-length that JPR released last year, Jeff Meier came across two previously unreleased Rocket gems that we can now present to you on 7' vinyl! A long time live favorite, 'Late Nite,' takes up the A-Side of the 7'. Recorded by Marco Delicato at his home in the late 90s, the roughness of this recording demonstrates the live ferocity of the band, along with establishing the fact that Rocket had the greatest rhythm section in all of Detroit during their extensive reign. The B-Side of the 7' features 'Bone Broke,' also a remarkably great demo recording. Written for Rocket's use by Jack White in the late 90s, outside of a few live performances, the song has never been heard by the public as performed by Rocket. Figuring that it didn't exactly fit into their live set well, the song was never commercially released by Rocket; however, it was repurposed by White's outfit The White Stripes for their 2007 album 'Icky Thump'. For fans of Detroit garage, this version is guaranteed not to disappoint. We're pleased to bring you another release in our archival Rocket 455 series, a band who deserves much warranted praise alongside their fellow Detroit contemporaries. 7' in poly sleeve, black vinyl
