Robert Johnson & Punchdrunks - Pussy Was Wired for Sound - Orange Vinyl

After more than three decades as pioneers of instrumental rock, Robert Johnson and Punchdrunks now present Pussy Was Wired for Sound - an album that pays tribute to film, literature, and their signature raw energy, all with a bold, experimental twist. Inspiration is drawn from unexpected sources: John Carpenter's Escape from New York, Pedro Almodóvar's films, Link Wray, The Voidoids, and even The Sopranos. Each track is a musical story filled with references, humor, and a deeply personal touch. The album showcases a band still exploring new soundscapes without losing it's unique blend of surf rock, punk attitude, and absurdity.- This album is about playing with expectations, says Robert Johnson. We don't want to sound like anyone else, and we don't want to sound like we did yesterday. It's a freedom we're enjoying to the fullest.
