Ric Sanders Trio - Standing On The Corner + Headspace

Known for his fiddle playing with Fairport Convention for the last 40 years, his love of violin has put him with other well known artists such as Stomu Yamashta's Red Buddah Theatre, Soft Machine, June Tabor and session work with Roy Harper, Jethro Tull, The Strawbs, Gordon Gikltrap, Gerry Rafferty, Nik Kershaw and many others. As well as Fairport Convention, Ric has his own trio, The Ric Sanders Trio, with Vo Fletcher and Mike Gregory. The group performs a wide repertoire of Blues and Folk/Blues related material. Crucially, this line-up gave Ric the space to excel at the extravagant fiddle improvisations that have enthralled audiences globaly. Vo Fletcher has played with an abundance of fine musicians. These include, The Applejacks, Brent Ford & The Nylons, The Albion Morris Band, Nigel Kennedy, Rik Mayall, Dave Swarbrick, David Lowe (Touch & Go,) Catherine Howe, Fairport Convention, Ray Jackson (Lindisfarne) and he's currently a staunch member of The Ric Sanders Trio. His love of the Blues comes across here in this special 2CD package covering their two albums.
