R.E.M.'s fifth album, an accumulation of everything that the band has done to this point; 'Document.' The album is a fiery statement, and it's memorable melodies and riffs are made all the more unforgettable by it's honest rage. With the pulsing anthem to end all anthems in "Finest Worksong"; the vivid hybrid of melancholy and surging harmonies that swirls around in "Welcome to the Occupation" or the political and metaphorical, almost funk rock of "Exhuming McCarthy".
