In the 1930s, waitress and single mom Mildred Burke (Emily Bett Rickards) decided that professional wrestling was her future, and convinced skeptical promoter-trainer Billy Wolfe (Josh Lucas) she could make it. Within a generation, she'd become America's highest compensated woman athlete-but her frustration with the exploitative and tomcatting Wolfe would come to a head.
