Poulenc/ Lortie/ Mercier/ BBC Philharmonic Orc - Piano Concertos & Aubade

Pianist Louis Lortie has recorded more than 30 albums for the Chandos label and has recieved various honors, including an Edison Award for his recording of Beethoven's Eroica Variations. Now, alongside his successful series of Chopin recordings, Lortie turns to Poulenc, joined by his duet partner Helene Mercier and the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Edward Gardner. Together they draw an affecting portrait of the brilliant Parisian composer: playful yet melancolic.
