Planet of the Apes

The original sci-fi classic, based on the novel by Pierre Boulle, stars Charlton Heston as Taylor, an astronaut who crash-lands on a world where humans are mute savages and apes the dominant life form. Co-starring in Academy Award-winning makeup are Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter as Cornelius and Zira, kindly chimpanzee scientists who come to Taylor's aid, and Maurice Evans as the sinister orangutan, Dr. Zaius.
