Volume 2 presents basic breathing techniques for extra physical strength. Through training you will learn to summon your inner strength and use it against an opponent. The Syabandar style focuses on simple postures that allow you to achieve optimal body-earth harmony. This training will show you specifically how to respond to an assault by harnessing your opponent's energy. For example if your opponent has seized your head you must be able to use his specific body posture in order to resist, push him back and finally prevail. Head and neck strength when properly used allows for increased speed, more acute reflexes and greater might in any given assault. You will also learn shoulder work: going up, going down, exerting your strength as well as neutralizing this strength for a better counter-assault. You will see how your mere fingers can be used to throw the opponent off balance: The smallest of joints can have a forceful impact on your opponent's body. Once you have mastered these techniques, various Jurus applications will yet contribute to the style's effectiveness.
