But you can fill in the parts you can't remember - patching together sentiments floating in the ether, reminiscing on things you haven't lived. In the process, new flowers bloom. Wildflower is all original work, written and performed by Pax from his base in the Bay Area. With big dusty walls of sound and a free-spirited melodic bend, it tells a story of growing pains in dreamy strokes, aimed straight for your gut with a crisp, autumnal charm that practically begged to be pressed to wax. Wildflower encompass the dexterous range of Pax, the clear-eyed precociousness and smiling audacity with which he swallows everything saccharine, chews up the parts and spits out something exquisite and joyful - at times spectral, and bitterly sad, too.
