Old Man's Child - Revelation 666: The Curse Of Damnation

Old Man's Child: Original drummer Tjodalv (aka Kenneth Akesson) returned as a guest to give a real black metal blast on four of the eight tracks on "Revelation 666" (Akesson originally split from Old Man's Child right after the recording of their classic album "Born Of The Flickering" to join Dimmu Borgir). In addition, guitarist Jardar rejoined the line-up, as Galder noticed that working with his long-time friend always created the best and darkest unholy visions. The classic force of some of the original and most dominant members of Old Man's Child were combined with fresh input by bassist Memnoch and drummer Grimar, with the latter already having made quite an impression with his tight and technical drumming skills on Old Man's Child's last tour with Mystic Circle, Sacramentum, Runemagick and Eisregen in February of 1999. Once again, the multitalented Galder composed all of the music himself, but unlike the previous album "Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion", he worked with a real band (rather than just hired musicians) who contributed their own ideas. The icing on the cake was added by Tägtgren, who engineered "Revelation 666" and co-produced it with Galder in his own Abyss Studio where he already helped to create some of the most important albums from bands like Dimmu Borgir, Hypocrisy, Immortal, and Edge Of Sanity just to name a few.
