Not Guilty

Disrespected, alcoholic small-town doctor Michel Ancelin (Michel Simon) was driving drunk when he fatally struck a motorcyclist... and then successfully altered the crime scene to make the victim appear at fault. Chastened by the incident-at first-the physician's resolve to be a better person gave way to the belief that if he got away with it once, he could do so again. Henri Decoin's dark humor-leavened opus co-stars Jany Holt, Jean Debucourt. 95 min. Standard; Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English; featurette; radio broadcasts; alternate ending; image gallery.
