Elaine Cassidy, Joanna Scanlan, Alexandra Roach, Will Mellor, Paul Ritter, Colin Salmon. A police squad, working in the "dark" side of Manchester, deals with most of the city's uglier crimes. Viv Deering, the unit chief leads a group not adverse to bending the rules a bit if it helps keep killers, thieves, drug dealers and more of the same off the streets.
