Here are Mozart trios compositions recorded for the first time ever with harpsichord instead of piano - for 2006, the 250th anniversary of Mozart's Birthday (Jan. 27th, 1756). Mozart wrote his last 3 symphonies and his final 3 trios in the same year. He often used a harpsichord when he performed with his musician friends, instead of using the relatively innovative fortepiano. The harpsichord allows the listener to hear remarkable sonorities and harmonics in the interplay of instruments that have likely not been heard in at least the last 100 years. Violinist Robert Zubrycki, cellist Peter Seidenberg and harpsichordist Elaine Comparone form this trio. "In this day and age, our approach is decidedly revolutionary." - Elaine Comparone.
