Recorded live in 2005 at the now defunct Cafe Brasil run by Ade', the shadowking of Frenchman St. The windows were covered with curtains to make the room less ambient. The 40's crowd danced but remained oddly silent, perhaps feeling some perverse reverence toward the new mainstream status of the once gutter kings. Pierre Pressure was in good form those nights. The Piety Street recording crew set up in an adjacent room and the 40's played 2 nights of shows, which were then mixed and mastered . The Live Personal Hygience recording was set to be part of an ongoing label relationship but the label folded soon after and hurricane katrina didn't help things either. Many years later, this is what's left of the band that put Bywater on the map ( aside from gratuitous reunion shows coming like clockwork every voodoo fest, mardi gras or any other time any band member is short of cash)
