The dangerous life of a drag-racing road warrior is the only refuge for social misfit Joe (Aden Young) from a bland life in Australia's poverty-stricken Melbourne suburbs. Joe speeds towards tragedy on the streets when his infatuation with goth co-worker Savina (Tara Morice) goes unrequited, as she only has eyes for Joe's "rev-head" mentor, Dazey (Ben Mendelsohn).
