Winning the golden guitar award for 'highest selling album of the year' at this year's cmaa awards confirmed Melinda Schneider's status as one of Australia's most talented, successful and enduring singer songwriters. Since the release of her debut album on compass bros records in 2000 she has earned two gold albums, five golden guitar awards and innumerable mo awards. This compilation includes the many hits from the four albums she recorded for compass bros between 2000 and 2007 as well as rarities including a spine chilling version of archie roach's 'took the children away', a sublime rendition of john williamson's 'cootamundra wattle' and a previously unreleased remix of 'what was i thinking'.
