Originally a great gospel vocalist (named Top Gospel Tenor in 1957), Mel Carter went on to have two more careers, one as a popular actor (TV's Quincy, Sanford & Son, Magnum P.I. and more) and the other as a hit pop singer. This digitally remastered CD debut contains the hits "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" (#1 on the AC charts, Top 10 pop), "(All of a Sudden) My Heart Sings" and "Band of Gold."
