Maxine retired briefly in the '50s following a long solo career, and worked as a nurse & became active in Bronx community affairs and founded House That Jazz Built while married to stride pianist Cliff Jackson. She resumed her vocal career in the '70s, touring internationally with WGJB & SS Norway with Dick Hyman & Bob Wilber. She recorded with Benny Carter, John Kirby & Teddy Wilson. This LP was recorded in March 1984 w//Keith Ingham, Bob Reitmeier, Lynn Seaton & John Von Ohle in Ford Chapel, Meadville, PA & @ Walt Harper's Club in Pittsburgh. Tracks are: Rosetta, As Long As I Live, Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me, I Thought About You, Just One of Those Things, Jubilee, By Myself, Lady Is a Tramp. Back in Your Own Backyard, We Just Couldn't Say Goodbye.
