Marc Vee is a full time musician based in Southwest Florida who was born in Santago Chile, grew up in Miami Florida and headed West across the Everglades in 2000. Marc began playing the guitar at the age of seven when his parents gave him an electric guitar for his Birthday. The latest album titled 'My Journey' includes photos of Marc throughout his guitar playing life which is extensive, starting with that first Sears Silvertone guitar, and through many stages of musical development. This latest and fifth album features Marc Vee playing Electric Jazz guitar on 'Joyful', a Semi-hollow Heritage H-535 guitar on 'In The Moment', A Fender Stratocaster on 'Dr. V.' a Jobim influenced number dedicated to his father who passed away in 2010 and Nylon and steel string acoustic guitars. 'My father was a pioneer in the field of Radiation Oncology and saved many lives through his love and dedication'. Dr. Mario M. Vuksanovic M.D. had a keen ear for music (although he didn't play a musical instrument) and he encouraged Marc to pursue an education at The University of Miami School of Music and exposed the young boy to concerts by Chet Atkins, Joe Pass, Steve Morse, Dave Brubeck, Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie to name a few. When Marc was young he and his younger brother Mario (also a talented guitarist based in Miami), listened to great music with their father, by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Herb Alpert, Antonio Vivaldi, The Beatles, George Gershwin, The Moody Blues, The Bee Gees, J.S. Bach and many more. This music helped to shape Marc's musical direction. When it became time for the guitarist to become a Band Leader he started using his given name but soon found that people had a hard time pronouncing it. Vuksanovic was a bit long for 'Show Biz', and like Lester Pulfus became Les Paul, Marc Vuksanovic (with Dad's consent) became 'Marc Vee'. Marc has toured through the USA, Mexico, South America, Central America and The Caribbean. He has played in Nil Lara's band, Apex, Crisis and appeared on many CD's as a session musican. His first love remains playing his original music and the ideal gig is when people come to hear that music he holds dear to his heart. 'When that happens, it's a great day' It doesn't matter if it's 3 or 3,000,000 people as long as long as I am reaching someone, my mission is being accomplished.' Marc Vee's favorite guitarists are Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, BB. King, Albert Collins, George Benson, Earl Klugh, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Jay Gradon, Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter, Wes Montgomery, Randall Dollohon, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, Chet Atkins, Martin Bare, Steve Howe, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paco De Lucia, Andres Segovia, Juan Mercadal, Rene' Gonzalaz, John McLaughlin, David Gilmore, Jennifer Batten, and Carlos Rios. Marc Vee lives in Florida with his wife and two cats and plays music every day of his life. 'Thank you for listening'.
