Digitally remastered edition of this 1974 album. Luis Gasca's Collage is most noted for it's fast fusion version of Stevie Wonder's 'Visions', although the entire LP is a great listen with top musicians Patrice Rushen, Harvey Mason, Bobby Hutcherson and Hadley Caliman joining Gasca, playing a lush filmic Latin fusion all arranged by Don Costa. Gasca was prominent in the late '60s as the go-to trumpeter for a host of San Francisco Rock giants that included Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana, Bob Weir from the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane's Marty Balin. He also played the horn parts on Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey album and was a founder member of Latin-rock group Malo. Beat Goes Public. 2011.
