Young go-getter Robert Carter (Johnny Hines) always said his success was due to luck rather than his family's money. Now he must prove it, as Robert wagers all his funds that he can raise $10,000 (that's 1920's dollars, folks) in a year's time with nothing more than his own pluck and a little good fortune.
