Lou Monte - American Italian Style

EU-only two CD collection. During the '50s, it seemed that, with a few exceptions, all the top male vocalists in the States were of Italian-American extraction and one look over Lou Monte's list of recordings it is clear that he certainly falls into that category. Lou Monte's first two records caused a stir - especially the dramatic, "A Baby Cried" and later when he turned the Italian lights on New Orleans with his Anglo-Calabrese working of "Darktown Stutters Ball". Lou added his magic formula to his version of "Italian Huckle-Buck", but perhaps his best loved and best known hit came in the form of "Lazy Mary". We have also included a special bonus track at the end of Disc One in the form of, "Dominick the Donkey" which is outside the timeframe of this set. Jasmine.
