Link Wray may have made only minimal impact on the charts yet his style and influence knows no boundaries, with the likes of Pete Townsend (of The Who), Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page all citing him as an inspiration during their own formative years. His eponymous album, originally released on Epic in 1960, contains the blistering rock 'n' roll that had heralded his sudden arrival, thanks here to the hit 'Rawhide'.
